Above are my contact sheets for the photographs featured on the first and second page of my newspaper I included a range of shots varying in distance, angles and content. I photographed the images for what they are by leaving everything natural and not messing with the mise en scene.
For my Articles on the Harrogate Grammar Schools new sixth form build, Primark and Roadwork’s I wanted the photograph to represent disruption and change. I photographed the articles in mid build and mid roadwork’s so it fits with the writing and shows the reader the true happening of change taking place.
The RBS photographs were a lot harder to do, as I was not allowed to photograph inside the bank so I had to photograph outside and really focus on the company name.
Race for life was all about photographing people at the event whether they were running the race or showing support. I made sure I got lots of different shot and because my article is positive so I made sure I captured people smiling and having a good time.
I photographed Betty's to fit with the article 'Harrogate gets the five star's' to show of the area most popular attraction, however when i came to constructing my paper i did not need the photo as the article was only small .
For my cover lines I tried to mix positive and negative, making sure my paper would replicate a true local newspaper. I photographed the court house, the new opening of the library, housing and students.
